SHREWSBURY MASTERS MEET – 9 JANUARY 2010
Seven intrepid swimmers from Camp Hill undertook the icy journey
to the years first Masters Meet. Nicola & James Bainbridge,
Steve Eggleton, Anne Bourne, Karen Coughlan, Paul Millington &
local lad Bernard Wills. James, in 5th
place, had our highest place in the
individual rankings. Steve swam an excellent BK, but could not
maintain the same standard in his FS turns. Bernard won 4 events
in the 60yrs plus group, and it was good to witness Nicola
approaching her old form after a long lay-off. Our Men were
convincing winners in both their two relays and Karen is
improving with every swim.
